My world is blissful with Rewild Life and social with Ballrumours. Here goes my story of passion and penchant that defines me in ways unimaginable…
Ballrumours…it all started with my two left feet!
Most of my late teens and coming off the age dance parties were highlighted with crepe bandages to fake injuries, making staying away from the dance floor a guiltfree experience for me personally. Even though dancing to my peer group was a bit like what cricket is to India… where people who say they cannot not play the sport do manage to hit a few respectable shots ! And there I was, struggling and failing miserably to gracefully shake a leg.
All the disappointment of sitting on the side-lines of the dance floor and most often missing out on fun of it all, brought me to Delhi School of Music in 1999.
The magical world of Ballroom & Latin Dancing was introduced to me by my ever so graceful teachers Kiran Kalanauria and Penny Mirchandani. My dancing woes were now that fear I needed to conquer, I struggled… and truly hats off to Kiran and Penny who could hardly manage to hide their frustration but thankfully they persevered with me. Their patience and relentless hours of guidance, made my struggling days a moment of the past, as I blissfully engaged with dance and music. And like they say the rest is history.
Born in 2002, Ballrumours is today Delhi’s most coveted Ballroom Dancing Studio for dance enthusiasts. We specialize in teaching 16 different Ballroom and Latin dance styles. Today, as I look back at my learning years, not that my learning has stopped now, I can safely tell you, dancing with abandon is magic that you will create for yourself!
Rewild Life … my inner most desires get wings to fly!
My penchant for nature is a childhood dream, the flowers, birds, butterflies and trees have always made me feel blissful. I now have the opportunity to enjoy the bliss of nature with Rewild Life.
A desire to meaningfully contribute to nature and bring my passion to life, was the foundation for creating the Rewild Life Biodiversity Farm in 2017. This haven is located in Noida in the NCR region and is a nature’s paradise of 12 acres that has over 70 species of plants and 4500 native trees. The habitat is vibrant with a variety of butterflies, bees, birds and microbial activity.
With Rewild Life, I envision a project that will not only create awareness amongst communities on the importance of ecology and the many critical elements of the earth but also emphasise the urgent need to preserve our biodiversity, ensuring its pristine sustainability for future generations.
